A Clean Slate

Is it just me or did 2009 go by way to fast? Literally, where did it go? I am having a hard time accepting the fact that I didn't appreciate it more and take my time to enjoy things.

When I think about it being a new year I get an overwhelming feeling for some reason. This is the first time I've felt this way about a new year. I tried to explain it to my sister the other day and couldn't find the words to explain how I was feeling.

Starting tomorrow everyone gets a clean slate for an entire year. I don't like making new years resolutions because I always break them. Plus they are usually silly. My mom used the word promises instead of resolutions. This year I am making promises to myself.

  • Those last 10lbs will be gone by my birthday, March 28th.
  • I am going to start focusing on the positive instead of dwelling on the negative.
  • I will make 2010 my most healthy year ever by eating right and exercising.
  • I will pay attention to our financial budget and be conscious of the money I spend.

2010 is definitely overwhelming for me because of the unknown. What will twenty ten bring?

The husbands first long deployment?
A new baby?
A new job?

What are your promises to yourself? Just think... You have an entire year to do anything you want to do.

I feel ya, 2009 flew by. I am experiencing the same overwhelmed feeling right now too, for the first time! I think your promises are great, they are attainable and "big picture" ones that will help your life overall. Oooh i'm hoping you have a new baby this year---super cute!!

I love both of those goals and intentions! I think it's so imp to focus on the good stuff and what we done have and then the neg stuff doesnt seem quite as negative.
Happy 2010

You have your entire life to do anything you want! I like to think of this year as just a continuation of the last 25 of my life where I work toward optimal health and wellness and spread love to others.

Happy New Year!

I hope this year brings many things for me, but many of those things are only going to happen if I help! Such as, less anxiety and stress in my life (more yoga, less caffeine Gina, come on, you can do it!!). I also really want to save more money so we can go on more trips. We plan on eating out less this year, which will be hard, but it's do-able.

Happy New Year to you!

I like the idea of promises instead of resolutions. I'm excited to see what 2010 will bring. I hope there's more ups than downs...

I honestly feel the same way about 2010. There is so much going on for me this year... graduating high school, going to college, meeting new people, living in my own apartment, being ON MY OWN! Although it's a bit scary, I'm SO excited! :)

I'm sure you're 2010 will be just fabulous dear!!! Happy New Year!
