Fuschia Bling Bling

I started today with some hot cereal. It consisted of ¼ cup Bobs Red Mill 10 Grain cereal, 1 cup of water, ½ a nanner, a tablespoon of almond butter, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a sprinkle of granola. It was so good even the squirrel had a few bites and she’s not a fan of “mush”.

We had a busy morning planned and as I was rushing around this is what the squirrel was doing…

Sometimes I think we should learn from our children. I love how she takes her own quiet moments.
We had yet another vet appointment this morning but just to get Chowders sutures out. After the appointment a friend and I ventured over to Gold’s Gym to check out their membership. When we walked in I instantly realized how much I was getting ripped off at the gym I am currently a member of.

Needless to say we bought memberships, scheduled our free personal trainer visits, and walked out each holding a free peppermint smoothie. The smoothie was unbelievable. It was so good it needed its own picture.

By the time we got home it was lunch time. Lunch was borrring. Turkey, ham, and sonoma jack cheese on a multigrain wrap. Plus some ants on a log and a taste of the squirrels mac-n-cheese.

After lunch we had a doggy playdate with this fella...

How can you resist that face?

This afternoon I became thankful again that I had a little girl.

A little boy couldn't pull off "Fuschia Bling Bling" as well as the squirrel.

It was her first time having her toenails painted and she really didn't understand what it was. She kept trying to touch it. I had to repaint them three times.
We split a berry Odwalla bar for a snack. She ate half and I ate half. What a big girl.

The rest of the afternoon was obviously uneventful. Especially if I'm posting pictures of our granola bar. I cleaned, the squirrel had a very serious chat with her baby...

She posed for a cute picture...

We made dinner. Which was SO GOOD.

I just took 2 chicken breasts and threw them in the crockpot with 1/2 cup of chicken broth, and tons of taco seasoning. I cooked it on low for about 3 hours. Then I pulled it apart and threw it back in the crockpot for another 2 hours on low. When we were ready for dinner I cut up a couple multigrain tortillas, sprayed them with pam, sprinkled them with salt, and put them under the broiler.

I combined everything, added some cheese and a spoonful of salsa. Tada! Chicken nachos! The husband literally licked his plate.

I wasn't feeling very veggie like today... As you can probably tell by my meals. I'm a little down and you'll find out why soon enough. Not a good excuse I know but I just wanted comfort foods today. Hope everyone has a good night's sleep... Tomorrow is F-R-I-D-A-Y!!!
