HELLLLOOO Taste buds!

I woke up to the smell of the husband's coffee this morning. Did you know smell and taste go together? My taste buds were workin'!

For breakfast I had an egg sammie. I don't know why I don't do it more often. It keeps me fuller than oats. I guess it's the protein. Plus half a pear.

This sammie had egg whites, spinach, and cheddar.

Speaking of cheddar... This stuff is amazing!
Cabot 75% reduced fat cheddar has only 60 calories per serving. Plus it tastes like the real stuff.

I used a serving... 1oz.

Right after breakfast I started baking cookies. The husband informed me last night that he would eat chocolate chip and sugar cookies if I made them. He doesn't normally like sweet stuff.

I found the BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe on allrecipes.com
It's not healthy at all but it made good cookies.

I also found a good sugar cookie recipe and the decorated them with sprinkles.

Obviously, I snacked on a couple while I was baking so I wasn't too hungry when lunch time came around. I bought one of these guys at the store this morning to help get rid of the cold germs in my body.

I've seen synergy drinks around the blog world and thought I'd be safe with a
Kombucha... I have to say I wasn't really a fan. I opened it in the parking lot at the grocery store, took a swig, and then had a mild heart attack. It tasted like an alcoholic beverage. I quickly scanned the label searching for the alcohol percentage. It had a very foul smell and a weird after taste. It's not alcoholic by the way. Just fermented tea.

Anyways, for lunch I had an ogre. A splash of the kombucha, water, spinach, frozen banana, cooked carrot, and a scoop of amazing grass.

I couldn't taste the kombucha at all so I think that's how I'll drink the rest of it. I know its good for me but jeeeesh. YUCK. Maybe I'll try the Synergy next time.
The squirrel got a package today... Straight from BabyLand General Hospital...

It was the only Christmas present we are getting her this year.
Her very first Cabbage Patch doll.

She wasn't excited at all....
I really was going to wait until Christmas to give it to her but since she hasn't been feeling well and has been such a good girl...
I gave it to her and she loves her new baby. Don't worry other people are getting her plenty of stuff to open on Christmas.
Giving her kisses...
Best friends forever

It took me awhile to actually get this cabbage patch doll. I checked Walmart, Target, Toys-r-us. Nothin'. All they had were the ones you can clip in hair extensions. I wanted her to have the real yarn haired doll. I had to order her straight from cabbage patch land. There were sooo many to choose from and the pictures weren't that great.
I think I did a pretty good job! Her name is Lindsay Shelby and she's super cute.

Alright I'm boring ya'll that don't have kiddos yet.
When the husband got home he said he was really craving mexican so we headed to On the Border (his choice, not mine).
I had 2 soft chicken tacos.
I didn't eat the rice or beans. After we ate I felt really sick and disappointed. We wasted money and time on crappy food. I hate eating at chain restaurants anymore. The tacos were a waste of calories for me. They weren't that good but I was hungry. I really haven't had much luck finding healthy food at Mexican restaurants. Have any of you? I keep thinking grilled chicken tacos can't be that bad...
Now I'm off to bed with a belly ache. Too many cookies and crappy tacos. Boo.

I'm always disappointed when I eat at chains... I just avoid them now. I find the only way to get good, healthy mexican is to make it yourself.
I'm happy that your taste buds made a comeback today!!!

Cute Cabbage Patch doll! Kinda sad they don't have them at the major stores anymore :(

I love my dalmatian, they are high maintenance dogs, but they love you so much!
