I Say Paula Deen... You Say Buttercream!

Ok so before I get into breakfast I want to to show you what my friend got me for Christmas.

Of course there is a little story behind it. I was standing in my kitchen one day telling my friend that I was going to make a Paula Deen recipe for Thanksgiving. I also told her how much I love Paula Deen and how I wish she was my grandma. She responded with "I hate Paula Deen." SERIOUSLY!? Who hates Paula Deen? My friend said Paula Deen is fake. Friend, I don't think so!

Anyways, this is what she got me for Christmas...

SOOO PRETTY.
Guess who it's made by?

PAULA DEEN. Not only is it a pretty candle it's the best smelling one I've ever smelled. The flavor is buttercream. I LOVE it Jessie. Thank you :)

When my husband came home last night I showed it to him and told him it was made out of butter. I also told him they had bacon fat ones too... I think he believed me for a second.

This morning I had a little dilemma. I had a friend (not the Paula Deen hater) over for coffee this morning and knew I'd eat something I'd regret. I couldn't decide on eating breakfast or waiting until my friend got there. I decided on eating so I wouldn't gorge on junk.

I had a kashi waffle with Barney Butter, nanners, and maple syrup.

When my friend came over I had one peppermint biscotti with my coffee. Yet another product of my holiday baking.

While we chatted the squirrel did some more Gus lovin'. I can't stop taking pictures of them. It's too cute!

Like her new jams Aunt Kellee picked out?
Shortly after my Paula Deen lovin' friend left the husband came home and we had to run to the grocery store. I ended up taking my lunch to go.
Pretty much just a replay of yesterday. Romaine lettuce, half a veggie burger, sweet pots, and a scoop of hummus. Just as good as yesterday.
The afternoon was spent shopping so by the time we got home we were starvin' for some dinner. I had planned to have fajitas so that's what we did. We put out the fajita topping spread and wen to town.

The husband's creation...
And mine...
Multigrain tortillas, chicken, red pepper, onion, lettuce, salsa, and a sprinkle of cheese.

YUMMO. Much better than going to a Mexican restaurant and feeling fat.
My eyes were much bigger than my tummy. I only finished 1 and a bite of the other.

A few hours after dinner I was snacky. I made yogurt, granola, and honey in a cup.
I might start doing this more often in this little cup. It helps me with portion control. I can't fit too much yogurt in it. Plus it has less surface area for toppings. A little mind trick :)

Well we are off to watch the new Terminator movie. We've got a huge day planned tomorrow and the next so I doubt I'll post the next couple of days. We'll see...
Have a wonderful Christmas... Remember to stop and enjoy yourself.

Cute baby! That is so funny about Paula Deen, what a perfect gift! I love when you give/get presents that have meaning beyond what they appear to be.
