Merry Christmas to ME!

Before I hit the gym this morning I made another lean ogre...

A large handful of spinach, 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup frozen banana, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, and a scoop of Amazing Grass. It was the perfect pre-gym breakfast. A friend of mine and I did body pump at Gold's. It was hard and we were both tired...

Post gym I had an Odwalla bar. I love Odwalla... They are tasty, nutritious, and the squirrel loves them. She ate a 1/4 of it today.
I did some serious Christmas shopping after the gym. Almost everything is done and it wasn't as much as I thought it was going to be. Always a good thing. When I got home I was starvin' so I made an apple chicken dog on a sandwich thin with sonoma cheese and greens. For some reason it tasted like a fried chicken sandwich. Weird but good.

One of the places I stopped today was
The Fresh Market. I splurged and got the husband and I a little something...

Fresh Market Christmas Blend and Peppermint Creme coffee...
I also splurged and brought home Daniel Radcliff...
Me and him...
We're BFF's... Didn't ya know?
Oh and I got some new things for the squirrel to try...

Dark Chocolate Dream by
Peanut Butter and Co. And Barney Butter.
I did a little taste testing of my own.

Both were good! Barney Butter is a creamy almond butter which is awesome because my other almond butter isn't creamy. The chocolate stuff will have to be a treat for us. I made the squirrel some toast with it as a snack and she ate a lot of it.
Did I mention today is my friend's birthday? Yep... What a good friend I am taking her to body pump!
For her birthday I made her these...
Pumpkin muffins. This recipe is unreal. I've made it several times and it always turns out great. You can find the recipe over at Smitten Kitchen.
While those were in the oven I had some of my peppermint coffee by Christmas tree light... Nope still not sick of peppermint...

The squirrel and Gus Gus relaxed...

We were all patiently waiting for those little guys to come out of the oven... We definitely made sure they came out right...

SO GOOD.
Well tonight I'm off to a birthday dinner. The squirrel is at Nana's and the husband is at work tonight... The house was too quiet while I was getting ready... The Melting Pot is for dinner so cheese dip and chocolate here I come!
