Breakfast this morning was a scrambler. Just ham and egg whites with salt and pepper. Reason being? I ate half of the squirrels buttered down, maple syrup drizzled, pancake. Yum.
While I was cleaning up dishes I noticed something pretty funny…

See that dog? Wonder why she’s there? This is why…

I think they take turns camping out in the high chair teepee.
We had a lot of running around to do this morning and of course the squirrel was especially squirrelly. We went a couple places and she was mostly ok but I had a good supply of goldfish crackers. When the husband mentioned getting lunch I should have taken the weird feeling I got and headed home. Instead we headed over to Brixx pizza. I ordered the mozzarella sandwich with a side of fruit.

I knew when we got there the squirrel wasn’t going to be happy. It was way past nap time. Infact both the husband and I agreed that we wish she had been sleeping when we got to Brixx. Sure enough she threw every single piece of food on the floor, climbed all over me, fussed, cried, and all that jazz. Somehow I managed to inhale my food. Can’t tell ya what it tasted like. By the time I was done I was in tears and walking out the door with a squirrelly squirrel in tow. The husband was left to pay the bill. When I buckled her in her seat I was shaking. I kept thinking when did it get so freakin hard to eat lunch? We spend good money on good food. I should know what it tasted like. If you remember what you just read you know what our problem was. We took a risk taking her there. We knew she was cranky. We should have gotten it to go and let her sleep in the car.
Since lunch she has been a bear. Another tooth maybe? I’m praying for an answer.
On our way home she slept a little so we stopped by the grocery store and one of our favorite restaurants for some vino.
The Rose was $26.00. That's the most we've spent on a bottle of wine! By staying in our budget we are able to splurge on good things that we love. We love this wine. Plus we bought Moselland Arsvitis Riesling. Oh and did you know when you buy the fancy wine you get a rubber cork instead of a corky cork? Maybe it's just the winery...
We also picked up some Sabra at the grocery store. I never really liked hummus much until I had Sabra. We love all their flavors but the roasted red pepper is my fav. To me it tastes like mexican cheese dip. Same texture and everything. This hummus is so smooth and creamy... I usually use it as my mayo on sandwiches. It's a must try. You can even get it at Walmart.
We did a little wine tasting with sabra and crackers... Since the squirrel was still being a bear we decided to go get our tree... She had a blast walking around Lowes...
Picking our tree out...

SO much fun!
There were so many cute holiday decorations!

Daddy and our tree!

At home!

The husband had a mandatory marine corps party tonight so I was by myself. I made some dinner…
Half a tortilla pizza, peas, and sweet potato fries. Can you tell I need to go to the grocery store? Getting low in the veggies! I did have a picture of it but not sure where it went...
I got the kiddo to bed early since she didn't nap well and sat down with this...

Home made hot cocoa... 1 cup of hot milk with 2 tablespoons of dark chocolate chips melted in the milk. Plus half a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin.
Then I put my 40's Christmas music on and decorated my tree.
I think we are opting out of ornaments this year. The squirrel doesn't need anything else tempting her towards the tree. We've had those lights, star, and tree skirt for years... Probably 8 years I'm guessing.

Just when I can't take it anymore she does things like this.

Sabra hummus is the best! The only problem that I have with it is that I can eat the entire tub in one, maybe two sittings.
Me too! I can literally eat it with a spoon... no crackers needed!
