Browsing

So the squirrel is still sick. She was ok last night. I woke up this morning before her and was dressed and ready to go to that pilates class when she got up. She woke up, took a sip of water, and threw it up. No gym for me. Pilates on Monday though! She napped all day long in my bed.

While she napped I did some blog browsing. I think browsing and commenting is really the only way to promote your own blog. Which is a good thing because I love doing it. When I blog browse I usually travel in one of two directions. One, the college student oat loving blog or two, the recipe posting mom blog. Maybe I'm just attracted to those 2 types of blogs? I don't know... Nowadays I am always hoping I'm steered towards you college kids posting about protein cookie dough mess. Only because those delectable recipes those moms post KILL ME. This one for instance...
Couscous & Consciousness... Seriously, look at her tomato bruschetta. The first thing I think of whenever I read something like that is... I WANT IT NOW!!! Then my mind goes frantically through my cabinets and fridge making sure I have everything on hand.

This brings me to another question that was asked:

Q: What would you eat if you knew it would be your last meal ever?

A: What a simple question my friend! I didn't even have to think twice on that one. I love Italian food. It is by far my favorite. Plus my favorite restaurant is Italian. I just love the flavors of basil, garlic, tomatoes, and cheese.

I would have bruschetta for an appetizer, a caesar salad, pesto pasta for dinner, and tiramesu for dessert. Plus quite a few glasses of a good riesling.

For breakfast I had overnight oats. I did 1/2 cup of oats, a container of Oikos chocolate yogurt, 1/2 cup soy milk, coconut, and some TJ's almond butter. What an amazing combination!

Plus I had some chai tea with soymilk.

I have been seriously craving tuna salad lately so that's what I had for Lunch.

I did a whole can of tuna, 1 tablespoon of lite mayo, 1 tablespoon of dill relish on a sandwich thin. Topped with lowfat mozzarella. Plus I had spinach with feta, walnuts, and
maple fig dressing. And some NOO orange dark chocolate for dessert.

It was a pretty fatty lunch to be honest but hey that's what I was craving!

Since this is day #2 inside the house I decided to take a walk. The squirrel fell asleep a few minutes into our walk so I ended up walking for an hour. It felt great to get some fresh air!

After our walk I snacked on a pear. And shortly before dinner I had the rest of my cottage cheese (maybe 1/4 cup?) and some applesauce.

I snacked before dinner because I knew my mom was picking up Pizza Hut! I definitely didn't want to be overly hungry before I went to my parents.

I had 2 slices of unpictured pizza. Why is pizza so hard to resist?

Hey remember to enter my NOO giveaway! I'll be picking the winner on Sunday afternoon! I'm thinking a Kodiak Cakes giveaway will be up next...

Sorry to hear the Squirrel is still sick- I hope she feels better very soon! Haha, I'm glad you like the college oat lovers. There's quite a lot of us, and as much as I love reading all of their blogs, I like yours because it's a little different! Delicious lunch- there's a lot of research to show that fats actually keep us full for the longest, so nothing wrong with a fatty lunch! Have a great weekend!

Last meal? ohhh man, that's a tough one - I feel like I've been having so many good meals lately that I say after each one that I never want anything else! haha.

Hopefully the squirrel feels better tomorrow :)

I hope she feels better soon. By the way, I'm sure you've answered this before, why do you call her the Squirrel? Just curious.

I didn't write that question in your last post. But I did just announce my pregnancy on my blog. I was nervous to do it because its still early, but I can't blog about my life and not talk about it! Great approach to exercise! My doctor said the same thing...do whatever you used to do as long as you feel good. How far along are you?

I'm sorry the squirrel is still sick. Poor baby!

Well, I am one of your "recipe posting mom" blogs. Glad you like those kind!

Last meal would be one like yours - a great appetizer that included BREAD, a pasta/or pizza dinner, and chocolate for dessert.

I think I might have to do tuna salad for lunch now! I'd almost forgotten about it!

Hope your little one feels better soon.

Oh boy I love pizza... I actually have it once a week but at least it's completely homemade :) I haven't had it since returning to Florida though so I'm totally due ;)

I know what you mean about those food blogs... I look at how delicious their food is and I want it instantly! Which often doesn't happen for lack of ingredients :(

Sorry to hear about your little Squirrel not feeling too hot!
I love blog browsing as well, it's sort of addicting!
But tuna melts are just beyond good. What a great lunch! I always eat things open face, makes it way more fun!
