Mrs. Crankypants To YOU!

Thank you all for all your sweet comments yesterday! I really appreciate it!

Breakfast today was just a cup of plain yogurt, some hemp seed granola, and a banana.

I love that granola. I found it in the bulk bins at a local natural foods store. I just looked for the simplest ingredients. Turns out the simplest has the least amount of calories and fat!

I did a body combat class today and the gym. I haven't been in a few weeks. It was incredible! I love that class. It's a full hour of intense cardio. I always feel amazing afterwards.

After the gym my mom and I headed to the commissary for some groceries. Afterwards we went to Wendy's for lunch. I had an oriental salad with chicken, almonds, and mandarin oranges. Very good!

By the time we got home I was hungry again! I was really hungry after only eating yogurt for breakfast and doing that class. So I don't think lunch quite filled me up.

I had a snack of grapes and cashews. It really hit the spot. The squirrel helped me snack...

And we watched last week's epidsode of Cougartown! I love that show!

I made lentil soup for dinner. This is one of my favorite soups and it's SO easy. All you do is combine lentils, carrots, celery, onions, and veggie broth. Then let it simmer for about an hour.

I also had a piece of dakota bread from Great Harvest Bread Company with a sonoma cheese wedge.

Speaking of Great Harvest Bread Co. Have any of you ever been? If so what's your favorite kind of bread there?

Sorry you guys... I had a borrrring day! Being super tired is no fun. I was pretty much cranky and irritable most of the day :(

And I'm leaving y'all with some videos for my family. The squirrel loves watching the show "Caillou" and she's finally learned to say Caillou.

This is her reading the Caillou book her Nana got her!

I have yet to venture into the lentil world!! Do they come in a can or fresh?

OOOH! I looove lentils! They don't have much flavor but they have the best texture! I buy them in the dry bean isle in a bag. I never soak them or anything. I just cook them for awhile.

What do hemp seeds taste like? I have never eaten anything hemp flavored...All I can imagine is grassy like hemp bracelets.
It's cute that the squirrel likes nuts!!

Haha I've never eaten a grass hemp bracelet before... But I can say that honestly that hemp granola didn't taste like much. Almost like crunchy, sweet, oatmeal.

Does your gym have body attack? If so, you MUST go.

awww how sweet is your little girl??? that video is precious!

When you are pregnant, are you allowed to do the same exercises you used to do? I'm just curious (and I'm not preggo yet!)

Sooo jealous that you get to enjoy Great Harvest bread, too! I always see it on KERF and everything just looks sooo delicious. We don't have any bakeries quite like that around here :(
I hope you start feeling better/getting your energy back soon :)

I'm going to say it again: your daughter is adorable :D She learned a tricky word!

The bulk bin granola in health stores is the best

The Oriental salad is my fave at Wendy's, too.

Lentils rock! I love making soups and stews with them, but dal has to be my favourite use...

Ooh, I love Cougartown!

We don't have a Great Harvest here. :( BUT we'll be moving to Fort Bragg sometime in the next year and I know there's one close by! Wouldn't it be fun to work there?! I'd love it.

Um, so I think we're on the same wavelength or something! Guess what I made for dinner tonight - lentil soup!! It was quite delicious and my first time ever making it but now I'm sure I will make it more often :) I added some curry paste to mine and blended it just a bit.

Ingredients are definitely the best indicator of a healthy food. If it's made with good stuff, chances are, it won't be too high in cals or fat! I've never tried Great Harvest...so sad, I know. There aren't many up north!

Cougar Town - been wanting to watch it, but the Sheppard has no interest, so I just downloaded the first few episodes and hope to get to them this weekend. I think Courtney Cox is pretty cool.

My husband loves Cougar Town! Thankfully he doesn't read the blog much so maybe he won't see this...

We do have body attack but it's at 8:15 one morning of the week. I'd love to try it but the squirrel usually doesn't get up till 8ish.

Morgan... you can pretty much do the same workouts you are doing up until a certain point. After around 20 weeks you just have to change things up a bit with positioning. Meaning you can't lay flat on your back with crunches and chest presses.

I wish I could send y'all bread (who don't have a GHB) in the mail! I don't think it would be that good though :(

She is so cute! I think I was at Great Harvest Bread a few years ago (before I could really appreciate it!).

I love Cougar Town and I love Lentil sop!

Great Harvest...yeah, I love their cookies. Not going to lie. :)

That's so exciting your pregnant! Congrats!! I have a bag of lentils sitting in the pantry that I probably should make, you inspired me! yum!

She is too cute! And yum, I love lentils!

I LOVE homemade lentil soup. I can live off that stuff for days. Have you ever tried putting vinegar in your soup? I do that on occasion and it is a really good combo!

I love that salad from Wendy's and I'm definitely going to have to try that soup soon! I'm trying to note down easy soup recipes whenever I can for nights I have class. Thanks for sharing!

Tired is the word for what you are with #2 - because, you can't lie on the couch when your #1 needs you. Keep eating right and exercising!

Check out Amazon for tea - I love Yogi tea - and their boxes are $3 less a box...of course, you have to find the one you love and buy 6 boxes at one.

Lentils are delicious! Enjoy your pregnancy - I'll keep reading even if you write about it.

A Wendy's salad is the only fast food I really ever allow myslef. I love the Mandarin Chicken and try to use only half of each of the toppings. It really cuts the calories down.

I didn't realize lentils could be so easy! I'll have to give them a try...I do like lentil soup.

Never been to Great Harvest Bread...I don't think they're in south Florida. I'll have to look more into that. Although I do try to stay away from excess bread - it's dangerous when I can't stop!
