I got the Coach's Oats I won in the mail yesterday from Marla over at Family Fresh Cooking...

I decided to make them today for breakfast. I just followed the directions on the pack...
Brittany over at Sunland sent me some peanut butter to sample and review. So I thought I'd try that this morning as well!
She sent me the dark chocolate peanut butter, spicy southwestern, and hickory smoked.
I thought the dark chocolate would be perfect on oats.

It was! This is my favorite dark chocolate peanut butter so far! I think PB&Co's is a little too sweet for me. This really tastes like natural peanut butter with dark chocolate. Not Jiff with milk chocolate. Plus it's creamy and doesn't need to be stirred. Big plus for me!
I topped my Coach's Oats with banana, Sunland pb, and coconut.

Lunch was the same as yesterday but with a scoop of cottage cheese, pear, and cinnamon.

Plus a NOO Cinnamon Hermit for dessert. Holy moly was that sucker good! Check out the sugar on the top!

For dinner a friend, the squirrel, and I went to Thai Grille. I had drunken noodles (veggies and sweet chili sauce with noodles), crab wontons, and spring rolls.

They have the BEST thai food!
My workout today was just walking/running on the treadmill for 30 minutes with incline intervals.
The husband and I were talking about my workout schedule and he mentioned that I had 2 rest days in a row. He said maybe I should take a rest day in between something.
So my schedule did look like this:
MON- 30 mins cardio + 30 mins yoga
TUES- Body pump
WED- Body combat
THURS- Body pump
FRI- 30 mins cardio + 30 mins yoga
SAT & SUN- Off
Now it looks like this:
MON- 30 mins cardio + 30 mins yoga
TUES- Body pump
WED- Body combat
THURS- Off
FRI- 30 mins cardio + 30 mins yoga
SAT- Body pump
SUN- Off
I think I will feel better and won't be as tired.
Speaking of working out... I posted the video of my new favorite song to workout too.
What is on your IPOD? I have had the hardest time finding some good songs to do cardio to. Maybe y'all can give me some ideas!

Your oats look great and I've always wanted to try one of those hermits!! They look omg amazing!!
Better than DCD?! I have to try it! Good luck with the new workout routine! As for iPod tunes, I think everyone loves Lady Gaga! Besides that, I love Angels & Airwaves. They have some really great, high energy songs with great beats and lyrics that aren't annoying or poppish. Have a great night!
I knew you'd have some good ones Gabriela! I have Lady Gaga on there. I love Angels & Airwaves! I'll have to download some of theirs. Thanks girl :)
Oh that Sunland dark chocolate pb looks amazing. I think your description is perfect.
And I wish I had some good music recommendations for you but I'm in the same boat, all my music is beginning to annoy me. If you hear any new playlists, let me know! Have a wonderful night!
Great workout schedule!!! Hooray for pump and combat! Such fabulous classes. Oh my goodness- spicy southwestern nut butter? Could I be any more jealous? That sounds incredible. Great breakfast bowl and I want some of those drunken noodles. Hope you have a fabulous week
I take of Saturdays and Sundays, too! You'll have to let me know if you notice a big difference. My gym closes early and doesn't have childcare, so I can't switch things. :( That bowl of oatmeal might qualify as food porn. It truly looks amazingly yummy.
Yummy Coach Oats.
I gotta feelin. Blondie, remixes.
My new favorite for cardio is the Nike mix made by The Crystal Method, it's named Drive. I searched Nike on itunes and found it that way. It's 40ish minutes, perfect for a warmup and cool down, plus your cardio. Keep us updated on the schedule change, I take one day off, I find doing two really makes me slack off. I'd like to see how two days not back to back works out!
I just got my Coach's Oats today - can't wait to give them a try! Looks like you put them to good use - can't go wrong with banana, coconut, and choco pb :)
Lately my music has been getting old to me, too! I used to be a "grunger" - listened to heavier rock and what would be considered screamo, lately I get amped whenever I hear a new Jay-Z song, and don't know how I ever listened to people screaming at me, haha. And Damien Marley! Love him, and a lot of indie-esque music as well.
And classic rock never gets old to me, but Pink Floyd and the like is far from making me want to get up and run a mile :P
I should add Matisyahu to that list. You can't be in a bad mood listening to Matisyahu, I just don't think it's possible!
oooooohhh that dark chocolate peanut butter looks sooooo yummy! i want some right now!!!
i like to run to Beyonce or Rihanna, and these days i love Kings of Leon.
Do you like hard rock? I can give you lots of suggestions!
I can't wait to hear what you think of the savory PB's they sent you.
I love your additions to your oats - MMM everything wonderful.
I like to workout to rap - like Jay z and I also love to work out to pink.
that nut butter sounds awesome! oh youd on't even want to know what's on my iPod..the most random shit in the world but i LOVE it! i'm also a fan of downloading Fresh Air podcasts on itunes, they always have really interesing guests and it makes the time pass so quickly
Kristen, thanks for stopping by my blog! Those oat toppings look seriously good. I think I have oats in a jar for tomorrow morning...that almond butter jar is just about empty.
Your thai food looks so good - makes me want it now!
Yum, that bowl of oats looks awesome.
I am a total cop out on the cardio music. I just do the bundles they have on itunes. :-/
I don't do many classes at the gym, I don't think I give them enough credit. I wonder if I'll get the workout I'm actually hoping for and don't want to waste my time and be disspointed.
My ipod is definately embaressing! - Lots of Britney and Pussy Cat Dolls - makes running so much easier! There are better songs for lounging, though I don't lounge much!
The two songs that give me a push when I need it: Bombs Over Baghdad (Outkast) and Bleed it Out (Linkin Park)...
The picture of your sandwhich has me drooling!!!
There are a few songs I really *love* to run to. "Push" by Madonna. "Adrenaline" by Gavin Rossdale (sp?). And "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus. Yay Miley!
And pretty much anything Britney Spears.
That peanut butter looks delicious!
I think it's a good idea to take your rest days separated, as long as it works for you schedule wise. Like you said, you'll be less tired. Time to go ask you some questions :)
Your oats look delish!
My work out schedule looks alot like your "before" one. LOL!
That peanut butter sounds awesome! I'm not a huge fan of the PB&Co version either.
I've never had chocolate pb-I really need to get some!
I personally like Lady Gaga for cardio workouts...she always has a good beat!
i ALMOST got that PB but didnt! glad to know its good :) it looks great!
i love lady gaga and hillsong for ipod workouts!
I thought I posted a comment here earlier today....guess not! Thanks for the mention. Glad to see you put your oats to very good use!! That choco PB looks great! So do the HERMITS!!! Yummo girl. The really great thing about being preggers is you can eat lots of that kinda thing...for the baby right??!!
Oh, man that PB looks amazing! And I'm curious about the other 2 flavors you mentioned...!
As for what's on my ipod, there's lots, my fave for Cardio though are Kei$ha, Lady Gaga and Girl Talk.
That PB looks so good!
I believe in the staggered rest day, otherwise by day 5 - you can be dragging pretty hard depending on how hard you worked.
I love oats, and these look really good. I should try the dark chocolate pb too, because Nick is so into the PB&Co. brand, but I'm just not a fan. Like you, I think it's too sweet. I might like this one better. I also love that you put coconut flakes on your oats!
I wanted to ask you about the question you asked on my blog. I wasn't really clear what you were asking.
E-mail me at gina.casagrande@imaginationtoburn.com if you want!
the cinnamon hermit sounds so good!
i add some good old best of 'Queen', when i need some new ipod music to pump me up at the gym.
Or any of the 80's hair bands do the trick for me!
i love those newman's own products!
I can't wait to try the chocolate peanut butter!
I've had the same songs on my ipod FOREVER! :/ I got a new laptop and never put itunes back on so I am in dire need of new tunes!
choc peanut butter is so addictive. I seriously ate a whole jar of PB&Co Dark chocolate dreams last weekend. And I'm not even a peanut butter kind of gal! love it
