Questions and A Product Review

After I posted last night I put the squirrel to bed, talked to the husband on the phone, and then spent the rest of the night sleeping on the bathroom floor.

I was up every hour puking. TMI? Maybe but oh my gosh I felt like I was dying. It finally ended around 5am and I got a couple hours of solid sleep before the squirrel woke me up. I fed her breakfast and my mom came to get her. She spent the day at Nana's while I spent the day sleeping, laying around, and watching Gilmore Girls.

All I've eaten today is a granola bar and half a bowl of cereal. My appetite is GONE. Hopefully things will be back to normal tomorrow. Where did this stomach bug come from?!

Since I didn't eat much I figured I'd do a couple questions and a product review.

Honestly, because of my limited time I don't really like blogs that "talk" a lot. So if you decide to skip out on this post... I feel ya! I really try to make most of my blog posts short and sweet and let the pictures do the talking.

First the questions: You can ask me one by filling out the formspring thing on the right side of my blog!

Q. I have had several people ask me where squirrel got her nickname. I even had someone ask me if that was her real name!

A.
Haha I have been tempted to say that is her real name... Squirrel Lee. Can you imagine? Hey, nowadays you never know! I have no clue how she got her nickname. My dad has called me squirrel quite a bit so it kind of rubbed off on her. We actually do call her that in real life and she does respond to it. She does know her first name too! I don't use her real name or the husbands on here just for privacy. If you really wanted to find those out though I'm sure you could.

Q. I know you have said that your daughter was born quite early. Are you apprehensive that this pregnancy may be the same?

A.
I've actually been asked this question quite a bit by my friends and family. My water broke at 24 weeks with the squirrel. I was on bedrest for 4 weeks without any amniotic fluid before I had her. I saw many doctors and none of them could find a reason for my water breaking. It was a fluke and I've been told it will probably not happen again.

I am not worried this time around. Mostly, because I worried my entire pregnancy the last time. I was worried the day I found out I got pregnant until she was born. This may sound bad but I have the squirrel. Not that this baby doesn't mean anything... but... hopefully you understand. I have her and will always have her.

Now onto a product review.

The people over at
Inspired by Finn sent the squirrel a necklace to try out.

Have you noticed her necklace in pictures?

The necklace is made of baltic amber beads. "When baltic amber is worn on the skin, the skin's warmth releases trace amounts of healing oils from the amber. To receive a therapeutic benefit, the amber must be in direct contact with the skin. Baltic amber contains analgesic properties and helps take the edge off of many types of discomfort associated with dental issues, headaches, joint pain, etc" - from their website.

Basically, it is supposed to help babies with teething pain.

Inspired by Finn sent us this necklace some time ago. I really wanted to make sure we reviewed it properly so I needed to wait for a tooth to come in!

For the past month or so she has worn it everyday almost all day. She even wears it when she's sleeping.

The only time she doesn't wear it is in the tub.

I have noticed a difference in her personality with this new tooth coming in. Before the necklace she had sleepless nights when she was teething. Besides her puking incident, she's slept soundly. She also has been a lot less fussy. She still has been a little bit cranky but there is definitely a difference!

I'll definitely be using it on the new baby!

OY, hate the stomach flu. We had it go through all four of us last fall. I like that nickname. I use nicknames on my blog as well, but Shoo actually responds to his IRL as well. LOL

Hope you're feeling better! I bet you caught the Squirrels bug.

Like you, I don't use the kids names or my hubby's, but it would probably be pretty easy to figure out!

You must have been so scared at 24 weeks, I can't even imagine...having children seems so foreign to me.
Hopefully you get to sleep tonight.

I've been wondering about the necklaces. My 3 month old is already getting his first tooth! I think I need to invest in one.

squirrel just gets cuter and cuter and i agree, it wont happen again and there's no sense putting any negative thoughts or energy in your beautiful pregnant world :)

I hope you shook off the bug. Yuck! Its nice that you have your mom nearby to help out and give you a break when you're sick.

I've never heard of necklaces like that...I'll have to look into it. She looks very pretty in it :)

She is soooooo cute! I need one of those necklaces :)

Bummer of a night girl. Hate puking & hate having no appetite 'cause I live for food!

You are doing a great job of not "worrying" during your pregnancy...it will only make you nuts.
