A TEAny Tiny Question

Yesterday my mom picked up the peanut butter Bobo's bars for me. She's so sweet!

So this morning I had one with about a cup of plain yogurt and banana.

The perfect breakfast.

So I've been having a cup of coffee every morning with breakfast and for some reason I think it's making me really tired at the gym. I think I'm going to have to switch back to tea.

What is your favorite tea?

After breakfast I dropped all 4 dogs off at the groomer to get their hair did and headed to the gym.

I did 30 minutes on the treadmill with walking and running intervals. I used to be able to run the whole time. Now I get really tired... Almost like I just don't have the energy. Weird. I'm blaming it on the coffee.

Since the pups were gone I went into cleaning mode again and deep cleaned the whole house. I got the dogs shaved in the winter time because I was SO sick of all the dog hair everywhere. YUCK. Normally they get clipped in the summer.

Lunch today was an ogre made with spinach, kale, soy milk, banana, and
dark chocolate dreams PB. Plus I had a piece of Fresh Market wheatberry bread with a Sonoma Jack cheese wedge.

And for dinner I just did spaghetti... It's
Sara Snow's spaghetti sauce recipe. It's got zucchini, spinach, and tons of tomatoes. She uses tofu in hers but I just used really lean ground beef. Plus some whole wheat pasta and parm.

And my mom and dad brought over these guys...

I may have ate one or two... Or maybe three or four... Yeah more than that even! Haha! Why can't those darn girl scouts make mulit-grain bread or something?! Trail mix even?

These are my favorite!

Well I hope you guys had a good Monday. Just think it's one more day closer to Friday!

If you don't mind answering my tea question that would be great... I'm going on a tea hunt tomorrow! I've got to switch from coffee.

I'm in love with Thin Mints. Mmmm.

Anywho, I suppose you're crashing from the caffeine? I hope that it's just that, although it can't be easy to give up your coffee. Have a good nights' sleep. That's all I can think about right now. sleeeeeep.

I really like Good Earth-original and most Yogi teas. The yogi-kabocha-green tea is nice and minty. Chais are good too. I went o an acupuncturist and she suggested "warm" teas for digestion. Ingredients like cinnamon, cardamon, allspice are good for us.

The only tea I really like is chai and only the Celestial Seasonings brand.

Is it Girl Scout cookie time already? I always mean to buy a box (or 10!) but by the time I get around to it, they're not selling them! Will have to remember this year.

I'm not a tea drinker at all, and the only kind of of tea I LOVE is Tazo Passion Tea. It's addictive!

I ordered about 7 boxes of girl scout cookies that will arrive this week, too. I can pound a whole box in a day or two...dangerous stuff!

My favourite tea is a Polish (I think) black currant tea. It's so flavourful and a good black currant tea is hard to find - who cares if I can't read most of the package :)

I love Celestial Seasonings caffeine free mint green tea! :)

Do you have a Trader Joe's near you? I like their RENEW tea. Also, if you can find it at a health food store, NOW relaxing tea is really good.

now i REALLY want a bobo's bar!! looks so good. i just discovered that whole foods sells these "back to nature" cookies that taste EXACTLY like thin mints, and they're not expensive at all, cheaper than girl scout cookies actually!

Hmmm coffee usually enhances my workout. Weird! I like Chai tea and the Celestial Seasonings holiday teas

I love Green Tea of any kind. I also love Peppermint tea, I buy Traditional Medicinals or something like that, or the Trader Joe's brand. The peppermint tea I buy does not have caffeine, but green tea usually does- not sure which one you are going for :)

Wow - I must figure out where I can get one of those bars. Looks SO amazing crumbled over yogurt!

I looove pretty much any Chai tea - especially Celestial's Honey Vanilla Chai. So good with some almond milk and a dot of honey! I also really like Yerba Mate - not sure if a regular grocer would stock it though.

I pretty much just drink store brand black tea or my coconut tea I wrote about. It's so yummy!

PEPPERMINT. It's seriously the yummiest tea ever! Add some sugar and you'll never want to drink anything else. ;-)

Oh the thin mints are my undoing. They're so thin and deceptive... until you eat 1/2 a sleeve!

I'm a huge tea drinker. Celestial seasonings and tazo are good brands. I love the chais and flavored green teas. I tend to get seasonal flavors, so I'd hate to recommend one that you can't get! Oh, but cinnamon tea is always good and helps calm digestion. Should be available year round, at least at an asian market.

Stash makes a really good tea and so does Twinnings. I like their Chai flavored black teas. I love just about any type of tea. Matte tea by Celestial seasonings, I think it is called Morning Thunder, is really strong. Almost stronger than coffee and has a different taste. When it comes to black tea, Red Rose and Tetley are my top favorites. Ahhh...I just love tea!!

I'm big on coffee too and like to have it. My favorite tea is black Chai tea because I feel like it compares most to coffee with a bit of a more bold flavor.

And I am so thankful we didn't get any GS Cookies this year. They are too easy to devour!

Gabriela said... Best Blogger Tips[Reply to comment]Best Blogger Templates

Celestial Seasonings always has interesting flavored fruit teas...I love their Tropic of Strawberry and Cranberry Apple Zinger! Those cookies are like crack. We had a few boxes in my house this weekend and my dad and I went to town.

I love chai tea with a little vanilla soy milk. It gives me a little boost in the morning without the edge that coffee does. I find it I drink it an hour before my work out it gives me just a little extra energy without the crash. It may not effect it at all, but I feel like it does, so mentally it works for me. :)

I *LOVE* Stash teas. I haven't had a bad one yet! Tazo is great, too.

Recently I've discovered the wonderfulness of loose leaf tea. You can usually buy it at a local coffee shop. The flavors the have are AH-MAZE-ING! Right now I've got Cranberry Blood Orange, Passionfruit Papaya, Cinnamon Cardamon and Black Raspberry Green Tea. Yum Yum Yum!

In order to use those types of tea, though, you need to get an infuser, but I promise you its worth it!!! They have really neat and cute ones available now and should have some for sale wherever you can buy loose leaf tea.

BTW, its usually sold by the ounce for about $5-7/ounce. That doesn't seem like much but you only use about a tsp (if that!) in your infuser.

You've also gotten me hooked on Rooibos tea, as well. Yummy!

This is all coming from an avid coffee drinker...

Sorry I can't help you Kristen, I HATE tea! I am a coffe lovah all the way!!

I'm not a big tea fan, unless it's iced tea!

I really like Twinings English Breakfast tea in the AM with a little stevia and some soy milk. Yogi makes a good Kombucha green tea as well.

We ordered three boxes of Girl Scout cookies - not sure how long they're going to last!

I LOVE girl scout cookies! I didn't order any this year so I'm totally jealous of your stash!

Hey girl! Lovely eats. I love that you call your smoothie in a bowl an ogre (said in Shrek like voice ;)). The pasta looks amazing as well- love a good sauce. I'm not a tea girl...I've tried. Coffee is my love!

I've been a big fan of the Trader Joe's Green Tea recently. I'm the same way as you- coffee is great for about an hour, and then I crash- with tea, it's a little less drastic.

And yea for Girl Scout cookies! The peanut butter patty was the only one I actually sampled this year when they were brought into the break room- because once I have a box in my own possession, it's so over. The samoas get me every time...

I drink a lot of tea (6-8 cups) during work hours. I have couple different brand both at home and in the office.

I like teh Tazo Green Ginger tea.. it has a dusty flavor that I love.
I also like; Republic of Tea, Ahmed Tea, Celesttial, Zhena's gypsy tea (specially Acai, it tastes really good and the lavender for calming down before bed), Stash herbal teas.

yum! all your eats look delicious! My favorite tea flavors are "Cocoa Mayan Spice," "Apple Spice" or "Pumpkin Spice"...I also like Teavana "Matevana and Roobios Chai" combo. Hope this helps!! Can't wait to hear what you decide on

Tania said... Best Blogger Tips[Reply to comment]Best Blogger Templates

Celestial seasonings makes some great teas, especially if you like a sweeter tasting tea - apple cinnamon is pretty darn awesome, so is the vanilla rooibos.

cupertinochronicles said... Best Blogger Tips[Reply to comment]Best Blogger Templates

Decaf Earl Grey is goood. I put in lots of milk, a dash of vanilla. If you are in the sweet mode you could put a touch of honey in.

Anais said... Best Blogger Tips[Reply to comment]Best Blogger Templates

Oh boy don't even get me started on tea! I used to hate it and now I think I have a buying addiction!!! (mostly Celestial Seasonings, their boxes are so cute!!)

I have a few favorites depending on the occasion, but here are some: jasmine green tea, gingerbread tea (celestial seasonings), chai tea, and Irish breakfast :) But really I like variety which is why I have about 30 different teas stashed in my cupboards!

Nicole said... Best Blogger Tips[Reply to comment]Best Blogger Templates

My absolute favorite tea is apple cinnamon. (Oh, and thank you for the post on my site. I love the idea of picking up a cute water bottle to help motivate me to drink more water!! I'm going to definitely do that!).
