Breakfast this morning started with my last sample of Umpqua Oats.

The Kick Start flavor was just as good as the rest! These little tubs of oats are SO GOOD!
Lunch was a rice bowl mix of brown rice pilaf, edamame, coarse sea salt, and feta cheese.
I've been meaning to introduce y'all to my new friend...
Have y'all met before?
Plain ol' brown rice is actually kinda gross to me. I've even tried sprucing it up with spices and broth. I found this Near East brown rice pilaf at the store and have already been through several boxes. The ingredient list really isn't too bad and it's TASTY!
So remember how I told you I searched for that Sea Salt Lindt chocolate? We were at Walmart yesterday and I found it again! I cannot believe I searched for a good 6 months for that stuff and there it is sitting at Walmart!
Speaking of Walmart... You can actually find some good, organic, health nut, foods there. There isn't much of it but it's a start. Plus it's MUCH cheaper there.
Check out what else I found yesterday at Walmart...
Chuao Chocolatier 60% cacao with panko breadcrumbs and sea salt.
Check it out!
It's like those Nestle Crunch bars. But SOOO much better! Plus check out all the other flavors they have!
I was thinking today while I was savoring my new chocolate... I could label myself as a chocolate snob. I don't eat anything less than 50% cacao. I could actually probably eat baking chocolate and be perfectly happy. The darker the better for me. 99% cacao? BRING IT!
That led to more thinking... I'm a bread snob... A coffee snob... And a cheese snob... I could live off of those 4 things. Chocolate, coffee, cheese, and bread. The richer, darker, sharper, more bitter the better!
What does the foodie term "snob" mean? I guess to me it just means you like the BEST of something and are constantly searching for that superior flavor.
Are you a snob of something?

Ohh that chocolate does look good. I am a total coffee snob!
I'm a chocolate snob too. I buy expensive cocoa powder, dark dark chocolate. Milk chocolate just doesn't do.
I'm an OJ snob too. None of that from concentrate stuff...(even though I know if I did a taste test I wouldn't know the difference), but it has to be 100% pure sqeezed juice.
I'm a salsa snob. I really don't like the taste of jarred ones that you know have been sitting on the shelf for over a year. I prefer fresh much better!
And I agree - Walmart is cheaper and is coming around with their selections!
I think I'm a marinara sauce snob. My mom makes the best, and even though I use the jarred stuff, I prefer mom's over it any day.
chocolate with panko...very interesting mix. hey did you ever find those rice papers?
I can't wait to get that back on track feeling myself. Why does the first trimester have to be so dang hard? :(
Glad you are feeling great and doing well!
breadcrumbs in chocolate!! what is this world coming to.. clearly something amazing <3 <3
I'm a pizza snob!
I love Near East Rices, but I've never tried their brown. I have the same thoughts as you on brown rice. Looks like I need to step it up and try this box!
Oh boy, that chocolate looks incredible!! I'm very definitely a chocolate snob...the darker the better for me too! Have you tried the Lindt 99%? It's insanely dark but oh so good!
Our WalMart's in Michigan are so bad I won't step foot in there. Between the dirty floors and shelves and nasty people (to be blunt) I just cannot do it! The chocolate w/ panko looks amazing. I think I might be a pizza snob!
I want to like dark chocolate better than milk....I can't train my taste buds??
Maybe I'm the anti(e)-snob, I do have a niece and nephew...hmmm :)
I am a hummus snob!
oh those oats look great!
I'm a coffee snob. FOR SURE.
I agree with the chocolate...as dark as possible.
