I had done a little research on it before we went online. Plus both the girls I went with had been before and had rave reviews. I had never been someplace to have "tea". I was SUPER excited.
Everything inside was adorable.

And at the table everyone had a mismatched china place setting.

We all opted for a "full tea". Which included a small pot of tea of your choice. I picked Tuscany Pear Rooibos.

It was amazing.

I also had a mixed berry salad consisting of blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, feta, walnuts, romaine, and a berry balsamic. It was as good as it looks. So fresh and summery.

The full tea also included tea sandwiches, scones with Devonshire cream, fruit preserves, and lemon curd, and assorted desserts.
I think the group favorite was the ham salad on cinnamon raisin bread. Sounds a little odd but holy moly. I've got to recreate it at home!
Overall, I was a happy camper...
And we were all STUFFED!
Since then I've been seriously craving the pear Rooibos tea and the ham salad. Does anyone have a good cinnamon raisin bread recipe?!

Tea rooms are great! They usually have small, healthy food options as well. You look great!
What a pretty tea service!! I haven't been to one in ages, but they're always so fun and girly :) That salad espescially looks delicious, I love fruit in my salads!
This looks fabulous. I like doing tea and am long overdue for tea time with friends.
OMG! I was just there a few weeks ago! We were in Wilmington for my best friend's wedding and that is where we had the bridal luncheon! I definitely have to agree that the ham on cinnamon raisin bread was the BEST! and the scones were great too!
It was perfect for a girls day out!
What a cute tea room! Love places like that:)
Here's a great cinnamon raisin buttermilk bread. I used to make it a lot in college, but haven't made it in awhile...need to!
1/2 oil or applesauce
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
2 t. baking soda
4 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
Another 3/4 c. sugar & 2 1/2 t. cinnamon
Mix together all ingredients except for cinnamon/sugar mix. Pour half the batter into two greased loaf pans. Set aside 2 T. of the sugar/cinnamon mix and sprinkle over the rest of the batter. Pour in the remaining batter. Sprinkle top with remaining sugar/cinnamon mix. Bake at 350 for 1 hr.
Ummm wow all those treats look so yummy!
