The Ultimate Ogre

I've had a couple people respond about my ogres... Which in this big blog world are better known as "Green Monsters". I've been on an ogre kick for a little bit now. Well until I ran out of spinach but I got more yesterday so I'm back on!

This morning I had the ULTIMATE OGRE or my favorite one. I measured everything out so all you skepticals can make one. I promise it's good.

This morning I used (from left to right)

  • 4 cups of spinach (seems like a lot but it was just one big handful).
  • 1 scoop (1T) of Amazing Grass (you can use protein powder, cocoa powder or just skip it all together)
  • 1 cup of soy milk (I like regular skim milk better).
  • 1 tablespoon chia seed mix Definitely another you can skip. It was the first time I used it and didn't taste it at all.
  • 1 tablespoon Crazy Richard's natural peanut butter (you can use any nut butter)
  • 1 cup of frozen banana

I put the milk in first, then the spinach, and put the rest of the stuff on top. If I put the bananas in first my blender gets angry.

I blend it for about 2 or 3 minutes to so the bananas get frothy.

If I didn't use the Amazing Grass it would be much greener.

So yesterday I received a package in the mail. Nanette over at Crazy Richard's peanut butter sent me a package with 4 jars of their peanut butter to try!
This peanut butter is comparable to Barney Butter with consistency but... it's PEANUT BUTTER! I like almond butter but peanut butter will always be my favorite. This is my favorite nut butter ever.

After breakfast I hit the gym with a friend. We did a body combat class. Girl... What were we thinkin?! It was awesome! By the time I left I was dripping in sweat and my arms are like jelly right now.
When I got home I was starving. I made a veggie flatbread with romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomato, feta, oregano, S&P, and a little bit of white wine vinegar. So good!
I had all intentions of eating the yogurt in the picture but it didn't happen. Infact I dumped most of my lunch in the trash. The husband called around lunch time and I didn't have an appetite after the phone call. I can't say much but there probably won't be a dinner post for the next couple days.
Have you guys been watching the news?

Squirrelly Videos

Since my sister and I had to search 2 years of blog posts to find a couple videos today I decided to compile some of my favorites into one post. If I'm missing any let me know... I'm sure I'll be adding more all the time. There is a link to this post over on the right hand side of the blog under LINKS.

A video collection of the squirrel

A few days after she was born. Less than 2lbs here.

Kangarooing. It's proven that preemie babies do better in general if they are held by their parents skin on skin.
