Christmas in June

FOOD

I hate hot weather. Seriously. I could live in Alaska.

It just keeps getting hotter... and hotter... and hotter.

As soon as the temperature hit 80 I've been craving Christmas. I want the bitter cold weather. The wreath on my door. The Christmas music. The Christmas cookies...

And most of all...

I saw it at the store the other day and bought it on impulse.  This should satisfy my Christmas craving right?

To go along with it I made sweet potato overnight oats yesterday for breakfast.

I know y'all are tired of seeing a jar so I dumped it in a bowl for picture purposes.

1/3 cup rolled oats, 1/3 cup almond milk, 1/3 cup organic vanilla yogurt, 1/3 cup sweet potato, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice.  Plus a sprinkle of granola on top.

For the sweet potato I just used little buddys baby food.  Organic sweet potato baby food just has sweet potato.  No sense in wasting a can of pureed sweet potato.

For lunch we had Chick-fil-a.

Normally I have fruit or the side salad with the grilled chicken sandwich.  I was feeling like some fries so that's what I got.

We spent the rest of the afternoon painting, play-dohing, and cleaning up the painting, play-dohing mess.

EXERCISE

I ran 2 miles yesterday morning OUTSIDE.  It was amazing!  and hard.....  But I did it.  I probably won't be about to totally run the 5k on Saturday but I'm getting better!
