I started my morning with this good stuff...

A breakfast muffin from Flying Pi. It seriously has everything in it. Cranberries, banana, carrots, apples, raisins?, bran?, walnuts?...... There was so much going on in this muffin. It was nice though. Really flavorful and dense. Filled my belly up!
I also had an iced green tea latte. Easy to make.

See. Easy. I used soymilk and green tea that I made a few days ago.

After breakfast at the crack of dawn we had a doctor's appointment for the squirrel. Since she was a preemie she sees a pediatric eye doctor every 6 months or so.
It was terrible. Our appointment was at 8:45 so we got there at 8:30. At 8:30 there were about 15 people in the waiting room already. FOR ONE DOCTOR. The lady at the desk said he was behind... They open at 8... HOW CAN YOU BE BEHIND ALREADY?!
As we were waiting we noticed there were quite a few children from hell there. You may think I'm exaggerating when I say "children from hell". For example one of them came up randomly and smacked little buddy... A two year old ran up and smacked my 4 month old. For real. It happened.
While squirrel was getting her eyes dilated and seen by the doctor, little buddy and I went back to the car.
He enjoyed a baby dvd in his sisters seat...

While I enjoyed a lemon luna. Waaay better than sitting in that room with terror children.

Afterwards, we decided to treat squirrel to some nuggets since she was EXCELLENT during her appointment. We were there over 2 hours and she didn't fuss one time. She's a good girl.
She got nuggets and fruit while we got Zoes. She likes Zoes but we had already promised nuggets. Once you promise you sort of have to go through with it. She remembers...
I had the lean turkey pita which is so amazing. Turkey, vinegar slaw, and cheddar. Plus I had a cup of fruit on the side.

The slaw is so good. Cabbage, scallions, and feta. YUMMMM.

The poor husband got harassed the whole time... I don't think he minds.

And to end our perfect outing (and to reward squirrelly some more) we stopped by The Fuzzy Peach for fro-yo. Like how I reward her with things I love?
I had peanut butter and cake batter frozen yogurt with reeses cups and chocolate chips. My sister and I always say we are going to get vanilla with fruit but it never happens. Who can pick fruit over chocolate chips?

Since you pay by the ounce squirrel gets her own cup! She's a fan!

The husband has been working on a week long project and he finished it today... Pictures coming tomorrow :)
Since he was pretty busy this afternoon dinner was a little random and quick.
We enjoyed the rest of our bottle of Santa Margarita... Our favorite wine!

And whipped up some quesadillas. Chicken, cheese, red peppers, and onion on a tortilla. We just baked them at 350.

I used some leftover BBQ chicken, cheddar cheese, red pepper and onion.

So good.

What a good day. It makes me sad that the husband goes back to work next week... Reality will set in soon :(
