Homemade pizza is always better... I get whole wheat pizza crust dough balls in the deli section of our grocery store. When they are on sale I get a bunch at .99 each and put them in the freezer. When you are ready to use them put them in a bowl and cover it with a towel for awhile. Maybe 10 hours?

Last nights pizza flavor combo was Pioneer Woman inspired.
My whole wheat pizza crust topped with fresh mozzarella, parmesan, caramelized onions, and prusciutto baked at 425 for 20 minutes.
I had two pieces...

Along with a Jones Vanilla Bean soda.

The pizza was DELICIOUS. However, the recipe calls for red onions. I didn't really like this idea and should have stuck with my instinct. Red onions just don't caramelize like yellow. They were a tad bitter :(
Breakfast this morning was a yogurt bowl. Chobani vanilla with banana, chias, almond butter, and half a piece of crumbled pumpkin bread.

We spent the morning at the park.

And came home just in time for lunch. I made a batch of thai veggie burgers yesterday and froze them.

I laid them and pineapple on a cookie sheet with wax paper and put them in the freezer for an hour (to prevent them from freezing together). Then put them in a freezer bag.

I cooked one in a pan along with 2 pineapple rings.

Genius time saver!
Do you have any time saving techniques?

I freeze pizza sauce and chili into single serve sizes for lunch pizza or taco salad. I also freeze pizza crust in single serving sizes. I won't do the prochutto, but the carmelized onions look great. I'll have to try that one.
My biggest time saving tip -- not very original -- is cooking onions and peppers in a big batch and freezing them. Then I'm ready to cook chicken or a bigger stir fry with a lot less preparation. Pizza looks delicious.
Shannon prusciutto tastes like fancy bacon to me! Do you just not like it? Good idea on the peppers and onions! I didn't know you could freeze them...
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Your little one is adorable! And great idea with freezing the pineapple and the burgers on a cookie sheet before putting them in a bag! Definitely going to use this idea!
That pizza looks delicious!
Looks so yummy. I didn't know you could freeze pizza dough. I'll have to try that.
Cheesecake Factory has a similar flatbread pizza with caramelized onions, pears and pecans. It's my favorite and on their lo-cal menu. Delicious!
My biggest time-saver is muffins. I make a batch every weekend so when I need a quick breakfast or snack they are always ready. I keep them in the fridge so they last longer.
Kristen, I am a vegetarian, so that's why no proscutto for me. I love it, but I don't eat it anymore. Looks delish though. Nice post.
