My Aching Back

Don't forget about my Kodiak Cakes giveaway!

I usually don't share my afternoon snack because they are usually pretty boring. Yesterday's was not!

A new LUNA BAR!  I'm not sure if Luna Bars are actually a good snack but they are a nice treat and aren't that bad for you.

My favorite is the chocolate peppermint but this one definitely comes in second.  Infact, I bought 2 to try.  I ate half of one and then the squirrel noticed what I was eating.  She ate the other half and requested more.  Her and little buddy polished off a whole one.  That's how good they are!

Dinner was at my mom and dad's last night.

2oz. of whole wheat pasta with 1/2c organic tomato sauce.  Plus broccoli and parmesan.  I could probably eat this every night.  I love it!

So on Monday night I was reading the babies a story and when I got up I twinged something in my back.  I was alright yesterday.  My personal trainer didn't do anything back related so I was fine.

However, last night I woke up in the middle of the night and could barely move.

This morning I'm doing better but geez it still hurts... BAD.  This is almost like the stomach flu.  I don't even want to move.  All I want to do is lay in bed.

I've been taking higher doses of ib profen but you know what the best medicine is for things like this and the stomach flu?

REST.

What in the world does that word mean?

Do you think they let me rest?

NOPE.

So I've been on the go since early this morning.  I'm cranky and irritable.

I wasn't in the mood for breakfast so I had a protein shake.

My trainer recommended the body by vi challenge to go with my training and to help me lose this baby weight.  Twice a day for 90 days... This is so hypocritical of me.  I am the last person to put any supplement in my body especially if it isn't all natural.  Y'all I am so sick of this weight.  I eat healthy and I exercise but my weight remains the same.  I've been exercising and eating really well for the past two weeks.... I weighed myself yesterday.  I gained 2lbs.  WHAT?!  I don't want to hear anything about the gaining muscle... It was really defeating so thats why I decided to do the body by vi challenge.

By lunch I was hungry!  I had a half an avocado from yesterday's lunch and I was tempting to just recreate it but I got a little creative.

We had some leftover shredded chicken so I smashed 1/4 of an avocado and 1t lite mayo into it.  Plus salt.  Then I slice up the other 1/4 and put everything on a sandwich thin.  IT WAS SO GOOD!

Plus more butternut squash soup.

Well I'm off to try and get some rest...

Have you ever taken a supplement to achieve your fitness goals?

Good idea Tricia. I'm going to add that to my grocery list for next week.

I hope you feel better soon. Back aches really suck.
I've never tried supplements for weight loss before. I hope it works for you.

How frustrating with your back :( There is nothing worse than an injury or muscle pain when you are trying to keep active and lose some weight. I hope it feels better soon!

On a brighter note, your meals look delish, and nice and clean! What exactly is the body by vi supplement all about? I take multivitamins, a calcium supplement, and a vegan protein powder derived from veggies, but that's about it, so I don't know much about other types of supps.

Aww so frustrating! I hope the back injury gets better soon and is just a passing spasm!

I'm SURE the weight will come off eventually...sometimes we just hit a plateau and need to shake it up a bit. Maybe the body by vi stuff will do just that! I'm not big on supplements and am all about clean eating all the way. Maybe you're not eating enough calories and your body is in starvation mode? You must be pretty active running around after those kiddos!

Maybe you are right Joanne. I've heard of that where you don't eat quite enough. I've definitely reached a plateau and it's really frustrating!
