Recipe: My Favorite Green Monster

My favorite recipe is:
layered in the blender in order...

4 cups spinach (just one large handful)
1 cup milk (soy milk, almond milk, skim milk)
1 scoop protein powder or green powder (I use Amazing Grass but you can totally leave this out)
1 cup frozen banana
2 T ground flaxseed or chia seeds (also optional)
1T nut butter

Blend on high speed.

Pour.

This probably makes 2-2.5 cups.  It filled my mason jar just to the top.

So delicious!

If my 3 year old and 1 year old love these then you have no excuse.

Try it!

Do you like to sip this with a spoon? Thick or not? Suggestions for alternatives to bananans? I would like a good smoothie recipe for the morning (I tend to overeat a LOT at night and the morning is a lousy start for me..but I feel I ought to have a breakfast). Would it still be okay to add the nut butter or flax or whatever the morning after my overeating-extravaganza? Or would there be a more appropriate combo? Thanks for any tips. I'm lost. You eat SO healthy, I am amazed. I'd love to see a typical full day of eats for you because I'm so lost!
