Feelin' Crummy

Last night I started feeling kind of crummy. I met my mom for dinner at a little local southern place and just had a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. It made me feel a little better.

When I got home I ate way too many of these:

Mama Pea's Almond Joy Bars. You need to make them. Amazing.

When I got up this morning I just wanted comfort food.  Plus it's Saturday so it's pancake day!

A kodiak cake pancake with peanut butter, syrup, and banana.

I actually made it to the gym today, thanks to my mom.  I did 45 minutes on the treadmill and was tired.  Sickness definitely takes a lot of my energy away.

I came home and made more comfort food.

Toasted flatbread with turkey, apple, and 2% cheddar.

Where are the greens today?!  Veggies never sound appetizing when I'm sick.

On a better note....

My munchkins are almost back to normal!

What do you eat when you are sick?
Do you load the veggies in for nutrients or skip them like I do?

I like hot and sour soup when I'm sick. Or chicken noodle with lots of oyster crackers.

Cereal and soup -- not together! I wish I could say I ate veggies when I was sick, but I lean more towards comfort food. Feel better!

I am the same way when I am sick - veggies aren't appealing and all I want is comfort food. But I sometimes I do "force" myself and remind myself how much better I'll feel if I eat some nutrients Feel better!

I unfortunately skip them as well...all I want is comfort food, which is usually pizza!

oh no! hope you feel better soon! I always eat lots of soup and crackers when I'm not feeling well.
