House Arrest

These kids just aren't getting better. It is beyond frustrating knowing that we eat right, exercise, and don't smoke and we STILL get sick. A LOT. What's the deal? Squirrel is in preschool and the kids do go to the gym kid care but oh my god I'm over this. I'm tired of the snot noses, constant whining, and having to stay home. I can't take them anywhere with 102* fevers. I've been lucky to have my family watch them for a little bit but I am SO over this. Did I mention the husband is out of town. Lucky.

Anyways, I'm still scrounging the house for food because I haven't been able to go to the grocery store.  Food has been boring but I use this blog as a food diary so it's gotta go on here!

This morning was plain yogurt, chias, banana, honey, and wild squirrel pretzel pizzaz.

We did manage to venture out of the house this morning for a walk.

I like to walk for 3 reasons.

To enjoy nature (lame but true), to exercise the dogs, and this:

Works like a charm.  Every single time.

I walked for over an hour and came back just in time for lunch.

Greens, apple, toasted pecans, blue cheese, and cinnamon dressing.  Perfect combination of flavors!

Would you rather walk on the treadmill or outside?

Oh, walking outside is great. In fact, I am leaving my part-time job shortly and going to try and catch a walk before picking up the kids.

Sorry about all the sickness and it falling all onto your hands. It is the same way at our house when the kids are sick. Hubby is a cop and works 3rd shift Thurs-Sun, so all things fall on me. He is either working or sleeping. And I have no family close enough around to just drop by and help out. Being a mom is hard sometimes! Hang in there...

I love walking outside best...there's something so calming about getting out into the fresh air for a little.

When I'm walking, I much prefer outdoors. For running, I prefer the treadmill because it keeps me on pace.

I agree with being outside as long is the weather is comfortable! If not I'd rather be watching tv on the treadmill :)

Definitely outside for walking and running (as long as my dog is with me - he's my outdoor motivator!)

Definitely would rather be outside and I love walking in cities. Love!

Hope you're let out soon for good behavior.

I love walking outdoors cause I'm a big nature freak, too! Sometimes my boyfriend catches me staring at a tree or some flowers and has to drag me away.

However, Adelaide is pretty flat, so sometimes if I need a challenge I'll get on a treadmill and hike the incline up to 12 to get my sweat on.
