Friday night I ate dinner alone. Well without the husband. I haven't seen him in 10 days and he's late on Friday. Ahh the life of a military wife. Instead of our usual pizza I made calzones.

I rolled out our usual pizza dough and cut it into 6 sections. I stuffed everyone's differently. Mine had sautéed onions, mushrooms, garlic, a tablespoon of pizza sauce and fresh spinach. Plus mozzarella and parmesan. I baked them for 30 minutes at 350 and had warm pizza sauce+parm to dip. This was so good. The kids inhaled theirs! I did mozzarella, parmesan, pepperoni, and a little sauce for them. The key to these is to use very little sauce and to not overstuff them. I made two for myself but ended up only eating one because we all snacked on parmesan while making them. Plus I had one glass of wine.
Yesterday I knew we were going out for dinner so I headed to body combat at 8:15. I was tired. That was day 6 at the gym. I logged over 6 hours at the gym this week. My body told me yesterday I needed rest.
I had a protein shake and a banana before the gym and snacked on yogurt, granola, and blueberries when I got home.

We had some running around to do so we stopped at chick-fil-a for lunch. I had the usual.

Chargrilled chicken salad+berry balsamic.
One of the most popular keywords looked up for my blog is Chick-fil-A. Wonder why!?
While running around the husband got me my valentine's gift. We've shared 12 valentine's days together. We don't buy gifts for each other anymore but he found these while we were at The Fresh Market.

Wine, chocolate, and cookie butter. He knows me too well.
We dropped the babies off last night and did our valentine's thing.

We decided on our favorite Italian restaurant and shared pizza, pasta, bread, and salad.
Afterwards we did a coffee run (soy vanilla latte) and went to see The Vow.

The movie was so good. It was the perfect valentine movie.
Did you celebrate Valentine's Day this weekend or will you do it on Tuesday?

I don't do a Valentine celebration, but will be giving cake pops out in the office on Tuesday. Cards are in the mail. Happy Valentine's Day!
Oh, I'm a HUGE fan of chik fil a too! Yummmo.
I love your idea for calzones, too! Sounds simple and delish!
I want to see that movie! But the hubby is not a movie-goer so I'll have to go with a girlfriend:(
We'll probably celebrate on Tuesday when the hubs has a day off, and since it's his bday today, we'll have two things to celebrate!
@Sweet and Savory Eats My husband isn't really either and I think it's because we like different types of movies. It's hard to agree on something. Plus it's super expensive!
@ButtercupCakepops might be my favorite dessert! I really love them :)
Those calzones look amazing! Do you say cal-zone-ee or cal-zone? Everyone I know says something different!
I think Andrew is making something for us for dinner on Tuesday (simple, like curry etc) and then we are going away the weekend after to stay in an 1800's cottage at a winery nearby.
Oops, totally just realised I told you our plans on your last post! You now officially know way too much about my VDAy in advance :)
Happy (early) Valentines Day! My honey bunny and I celebrate quietly and untraditionally. We decided long ago that we'd rather have a thousand kisses all year than one day a year. So....we don't exchange cards, we give kisses and go to a fast-food lunch! .....I get kisses, a burger AND no crowds!
We're celebrating tomorrow. Dinner at home and probably a movie on Netflix.
Glad to read The Vow was good. I'm thinking it'll be a good movie to see this weekend.
