My goal is to blog almost everything I eat. Unfortunately, I'm a creature of habit and routine. I like to keep things consistent therefore eating the same things most of the time. Will the repeated pictures of protein shakes and coffee get boring? Yes. Will I lose readers? Yes. But that's not what it's all about.
Last night we had pizza for dinner.

Chicken, mushrooms, onion, a little bacon, mozzarella, parmesan, and light ranch on whole wheat crust. My husband loved it!
I ate one piece and it was really good!

As always I started my day off with a protein shake, coffee, and the gym. I like the routine in the morning. I like not having to think about my breakfast when I've got two little mouths to feed.

My protein shakes consist of silk unsweetened almond milk and body by vi protein mix.

I did an hour on the elliptical and finished The Hunger Games.

WOW. I'm in love and can't wait to start the second book!
When I got home I had a sandwich thin with peanut butter and banana.

And lunch was a random salad...

Greens, cucumber, red pepper, sweet potato, and an apple chicken sausage dressed with 1t olive oil, 1t, balsamic, 1t maple syrup.
Do you ever get lost in all the blogger hype?

Ok, that's it...I've got to start reading Hunger Games.
@All Things Yummy Yes you do!!! I couldn't put it down. Plus the movie comes out on the 23rd :)
Good for you! Your blog-your rules! I love seeing what you have to eat daily. I'm a nosy peek in the cart kinda person.
I started blogging for fun and to keep in touch with family back home in Canada. I pretty much post random stuff whenever I feel like. I figure, if people want to read about running, food, and my kid--welcome! If not -who cares! :)
I'm a newby at blogging so I don't think I've gotten caught up in any hype, but I see what you're saying.
Personally, I love seeing and hearing what people are eating - esp when there are pics that go along with it. I need all the inspiration I can get.
And I also have The Hunger Games waiting for me on my Kindle...must get to it!!
Lovin' your blog and look forward to following!
I was just thinking today, I never want to feel like I can't eat something "bad" because I have to blog and I don't want readers to think I'm unhealthy. I NEVER want to think like that and I won't. Also, I am a creature of habit as well and I get hooked on eating the same foods for a while. I go through phases. I never want to feel like I am boring readers because my eats are repetitive. I am going to eat what I want to eat because it's my food and my body! Right?
I just picked up the 2nd hunger games- they're so addicting!
@jill Me too Jill! I love to see food and to see what everyone eats even if it's the same thing all the time.

@Jenn Start reading girl! The movie comes out March 23rd!
@Kerry @ Totes My Oats You are totally right. I never want it to feel like a chore or I'm trying to impress anyone.
Pizza looks delicious! And I love your perspective. It so easy to get caught up in the blogging hype or discouraged because "everybody else" has many times more readers/comments or better pictures or better recipes. It's good to remind ourselves of our purpose and remember that every blogger has a slightly different purpose and goal, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Totally feeling you on this one. I tend to eat a lot of veggies and tofu in a wrap, which I think is delicious but I worry about my blog being boring. However, I'm in the same boat- I am blogging to lose weight, work my way through the healing process post-injury back to regular running, and to be accountable to myself and what I eat, not to anyone who may or may not read.
One good thing though: being concerned about having the same pics over and over on the blog has helped me to think outside the box once in awhile about what I cook. It's also encouraged me to try ordering different things than I might normally in a restaurant.
I definitely get caught up in the hype too, and am a serious creature of habit. I love your pizza! It's definitely a staple in my regular routine too :)
@Erin Blogging keeps me creative too. It keeps me from eating a grilled hummus and cheese wrap every single day haha!
Yes! It's way too easy to get caught up in the blogger hype. Once I realized that it's MY blog and when it comes down to it, my blog is the same as yours. To document my daily food intake and exercise, if I lose readers because it's boring, I guess I'll lose readers.
Jen@FoodFamilyFitness
amen, sister!! I'm so over they hype! it's all about YOU and your blog.
