Chicken is almost double ...It really is expensive. Chicken is almost double the price at our grocery store. Sometimes I have to remind myself of the health benefits of organic. My husband and I both agreed on meat and the dirty dozen. It's all we can afford. At least we are doing something. Anything headed in the healthy eating direction is amazing. Whether is eating all organic raw food (so not me) or switching from white bread to wheat. I agree with you Laura Jane on eating less carbs. It makes me feel better too to have a higher protein diet whether it comes from meat or plants. That quote is very thought provoking. Like many people, I'd love to buy mostly organic, but I don't want to spend that much money on it. Also, I find that I feel best eating a pretty high protein, not too many carbs diet - that involves eating a lot of meat, so the cost would be pretty high.
